I hate overcast skies
With grey sheet clouds
Swallowing up the sun
The air so thick
You can feel it pushing,
Resisting your presence
(maybe what we all need is a little shove)
I love the rain
When the pregnant clouds split
And spill long unshed tears
The cleansing drops pounding,
Pouring upon a
Sin soaked earth
(heres where the sinners take shelter from the storm)
I love fog seas
Where untold shapes lurk
Just beyond reach
The thick mist obscuring,
Confusing the lost and
Damned and searching soul
(its the hidden horrors that we really fear)
I hate thunder
With the echo of death
Rolling across somber skies
The monstrous roar booming,
Dooming its wrath
Shaking you to the very core
(really, its all just a lie)
I love lightning
When the air is ripped asunder
Shattered into countless bits
The unadulterated light dancing,
Chasing itself in a game
Spread across the skies
(its a memory in the making of me and you)
I love the wind
Where howling tales cross
Whispered trailing veils
The ethereal fingers entwine
A soft spoken secret caressing,
Tousling your hair
(days like these reminds us of who we used to be)
I hate the snow
With frozen wishes breathed
By upturned faces
The pale hopes and dreams
Earthward bound theyre falling,
Joining a blanket of white perfection
(this is everything Im not)
